The question was posed to four of us on a panel at a workshop last week. My first instinct? A flash of scenes from Mad Max: Beyond the Thunderdome. Yikes.

A friend often says, "First thought wrong." And in this case, that wisdom rings true.

Instead, I found myself reflecting on one powerful word: belonging.
